Blogger turned fashion-insider Jane Aldridge launched Sea of Shoes as a hobby in 2007, and has since gone from everyday high school girl to serious tastemaker. Her site exists as a photo diary of her skillfully styled ensembles, comprised of cool mash-ups of vintage and designer pieces paired with incredible, covetable shoes, of course. Aldridge has directly influenced sales for designers and has gotten in on the design game with an Urban Outfitters footwear collaboration as well as a project with her mother Judy for contemporary label Gryphon.

Judy Aldridge is often spotted on her daughter's well-trafficked site, but like mother-like-daughter is a good mantra for this style maven. The Texas native is a lover of fashion who got her start modeling in Tokyo. In the late 80s Aldridge established a boutique called Chiaroscuro and has since launched an eco-friendly clothing line, Atlantis Underground. Since joining the blogging world in 2008, Judy has garnered a loyal and ever-expanding audience who stop by daily view to get a glimpse at her insights on all things fashion and décor on Atlantis Home.

Named for two of life's inevitabilities, founders Alex Moore and Stephen Blackwell knew all good things would someday go digital. After launching the Death + Taxes print mag in 2007 the two opted to move the machine to the web in 2010. They've since expanded the site's presence in the media landscape, and created events and national engagements with heavy-hitting brands from Ray-Ban to Converse and Toyota. Death + Taxes is now the daily online conversation about all things indie music, culture and politics - but not without the occasional nod to the nefarious activities of some of our more colorful celebrities.

Cornering the market on a niche audience, Sean Hotchkiss launched The Khaki Crusader in late 2008 as a blog for style-minded golfers. Fashion Editor Annmarie Dodd brought her Golf Digest/Golf World pedigree to the mission in February 2010, and since then the two have joined forces to develop KC as the go-to gathering place for the game's well-heeled. Hotchkiss has also used his expertise in design and marketing to freelance for luxe brands including J.
