Make a note of the date and tell your children about it: April 15th is the day that Nvidia GPUs were in stock, finally. The company has launched a “restore and reload” marketing campaign to let people know about it. Not only are there lots of cards in stock at the moment, but some of them are being offered at discounted prices. We promise that this is not the prank of April Fools.
Nvidia’s landing page for the new promotion states, “GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Card Now Available!” Apparently our first thought was, “Of course they were, when you created this page a few days ago.” But by clicking around the internet we can see that this is actually true. As of this writing, an RTX 3070 Ti is in stock And Sold by Amazon, and $ 300 off as well. We even saw an RTX 3080 12GB from EVGA that was also in stock and being offered with a $ 270 rebate. The EVGA card pictured below went out of stock a few minutes after we took this screen cap, so it’s not just the result of a broken website or something else. This offer actually exists.
Just to be clear, only Some GPUs There is stock, and it depends on where you look. Not all cards are in MSRP yet, but there are some cards and some are even being dropped. Nvidia actually provides somewhat simple retail price testers, but that’s not accurate at all.
For example, it states that the Asus TUF RTX 3080 10GB was $ 874 at Newegg, but the price clicked through was $ 1,349. It is also being sold by a scapper, so in some ways the situation remains unchanged. However, several of Newegg’s RTX 3080 10GB cards were in stock for 999, and Newegg sold. It’s something we haven’t seen in over a year, if not more. There are still some GPUs you’ll probably never find in stock, such as the Best Buy Founder versions RTX 3080 and 3090. Although it is not a big loss. To buy them you need to subscribe to the 199 199 Totaltech program.
Although prices have been falling for the past few months, we never expected to wake up one day and see things return to normal, even normal-ish. Both Amazon and Newig still have plenty of scalloped GPUs. Although MSRP has a GPU, which will put some heavy pressure on scalpers to reduce their cost.
The only problem buyers now have is the company’s 40-series cards running out of distance. All rumors point to them as the perfect beast, so it would be a tough call for some. Especially because we don’t know if this is Original GPU deficit is over. For example, will the 40-series card be available for launch in September? Based on our past experience, this seems unlikely. Hopefully this will continue and we will all be able to pause our F5 keys for the rest of the year.
